Well, New Year's Eve went pretty much as expected. Keely made smoked-gouda spinach stuffed chicken, and Justin brought the game she gave him over. It was an RotK game based on the movie and it was fun, but slightly frustrating as it didn't seem to be very well thought out.

Then Keels and I set out "hors d'oevres" (consisting of crackers, cheese, sausage, packaged cookies, and carrots and sliced apples for Justin) and broke out some champagne. We used wine glasses instead of champagne flutes, and used an entire bottle of champagne filling up Keels and my glasses. I eventually managed to down the last of mine about halfway through Finding Nemo. Then I almost fell asleep. Keels got maybe five sips into hers and passed out on Justin's lap.

Who says we can't hold our liquor?!

After Nemo, we still had a half-hour till the year turned, so we played Disney Trivia (see? We DO know how to have a good time!) and Keels almost passed out again near the end of that. I won, yay, which is only proof of my misspent youth. Then they left to go to Justin's and I stayed here and stared at the wall for a couple minutes before realizing it wasn't the TV, and I decided to go to bed.

So. Yeah. How was everyone else's New Year's Eve? I missed the fireworks that would have been at my aunt's house. But all in all, while spending your holidays in a place you've never been before, it didn't go too bad.
