Colleen called me a couple hours ago and told me the trip was cancelled. I would be lying if I said I wasn't relieved.
To give you some perspective, the Port and the Narrows usually have a forecast of "seas 2 feet or less," which basically means flat calm. Normally in the summertime, the Sound has a forecast of anywhere between 2-4 feet. A couple times this summer when we couldn't go out, it was because the seas were 6-7 feet. I cannot imagine what 14-footers would be like.
