When I got to work this morning, my boss informed me of the death of a local man. 31 years old, was snowmachining with his father in the pass and somehow triggered an avalanche. I didn't know him, but we had several people today come into the station. We put on an announcement about a memorial fund and his memorial service.

Point is, even though I didn't know the guy, there were a lot of people who loved him and will miss him, and I almost started crying a couple times. I can't imagine the horror his father must have felt when he couldn't save his son.

It sucks, and it's not fair. No way is it fair.
